- About Me
- Maxine is the Owner/Head Coach of STARcise. She has over a decade of experience working with kids (including her own two little girls) and a passion for health and fitness. Maxine is a Certified Youth Fitness Instructor, she also holds CPR/First Aid certification for infants, children and adults. She is the co-founder of the Haber Diabetic Foundation and a PTSA member at David Lawrence Jr. K-8 Center. She volunteers in her community as well, serving on the Youth Opportunity Board for the City of North Miami and as past-Vice President of the North Miami Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees).
STARcise Kids Preschool Fitness classes combine basic elements of dance, yoga, plyometrics, gymnastics and aerobics. The program rotates every 6 weeks with new routines and new music. The children enrolled in our program learn confidence in their physical abilities in an environment that is focused on individual development rather than competition.
After being nominated for a Kids Crown Award by customers and fans of the program, STARcise won the 2012 nomination in the "Best Kept Secret" category for Miami-Dade County” as a mom-approved business by the readers of South Florida Parenting Magazine.
